Rescuing vintage typewriters

Have you ever heard someone say that writing on an old-fashioned typewriter was a different experience than using a computer? Some authors even refuse to give up their typewriters.

Embracing funky inventions is the norm, so now all sorts of USB adapted vintage typewriters can be used as keyboards. Several articles have been written in 2012 about this invention as though it had just happened on the scene.

True, it almost seems like an old Rube Goldberg creation, but apparently marrying typewriter nostalgia to computer technology, has been around since at least 2010 according to creator Jack Zylkin. Rescuing vintage typewriters from obsolescence allows devotees to use these clackety old machines as a slick way to pound the keys while hooked up to a PC, Mac or I Pad, so don't include that old Remmington in a garage sale just yet.  READ WHOLE ARTICLE
