How do you write with a partner?
There is no hard and fast rule for writing with a partner. It all depends upon the authors who are collaborating and what their strengths and personalities are. As a very wise man once said, "Any system is a system if it works."
About Phyllice
After living in Alaska
for many years, PHYLLICE BRADNER, an award-winning
graphic designer, fine artist, published writer, and former antique shop owner
moved to a quaint 100 year old house in McMinnville, Oregon. She has been a
political print consultant for campaigns including four gubernatorial races
and five candidates for U.S. Senate. Over the years Phyllice has won four
Alaska Press Club awards and two National awards for newsletter publications.
She is the co-author of the Silver Sisters Mysteries, Juneau
Centennial Cookbook and Touring Juneau.
She works out of her own art studio and is a co-owner
of Currents Art Gallery in McMinnville, Oregon.
Finding the right balance
Phyllice has been co-authoring the Silver Sisters Mysteries with her real sister, Morgan St. James, who is the co-host of the Writers Tricks of the Trade Radio Show, since the late 90s. They will share how they worked out their writing partnership to best use each of their talents.
Morgan has also co-authored books with her co-host, true crime writer Dennis N. Griffin, and listeners will see how their working arrangement is different than that of working with Phyllice.
Listen live on December 10 at 6:00pm PST/9:00 EST, and call (646) 478-0982 to ask the authors questions, or listen to the archived show at your convenience.
