A friend of mine coined the phrase The Internet is a Time Vampire several years ago. Time Vampire--- No kidding? Where do the hours go? Whether you live in Los Angeles or anywhere else in the world, the web allows writers to reach out to people they will never meet and establish a name for themselves.
Where do authors spend so much of their time?
Authors of all genres quickly discover that a big part of their job is promoting their books. It is simply another hat they must wear unless they are blessed with a cash flow to cover hiring people to do this for them, . Even authors with big publishers find this to be true unless they are in the top tiers.
